Cattail Marsh 012617
Well....I took over 1400 photos, 800 of which were Greenwing Teal drakes, almost all close, nay, very close up. Big learning it that Greenwing Teal prefer to dabble in about 4 inches of water. That is why we never saw them around the Anahuac Autotrail. Way too deep.
Greenwing Teal drake above and two hens. Shot at first light. Sun was heavily cloud filtered(blue color caste). Warm colors subdued by complimentary colored light(blue color caste from light source). ISO5000. Subject primarily ID'd by outline due to lack of light. Shot with camera set to auto-ISO 100-6400 limit with shutterspeed set to 1/1000 sec. lower limit.
