Judy and I took the grandkids, Jacob(12) and Josh(8), to see the historical sites at Fannin and Goliad Texas, the Fannin Battlefield Memorial at Fannin, TX. and the Mission Epsiritu Santo , the Presidio La Bahia , and the Fannin burial memorial in Goliad, TX. There were four historic sites that supported this story of Fannin and his men, their capture and ultimate heartless slaughter. The first was the Fannin Coleto Creek Battlefield Memorial in Fannin, TX

All photos were taken with my Sony A77 body and my Carl Zeiss 24-70/2.8 lens. Most of the photos were taken in RAW format; however, quite a number were taken using the A77's in-camera, multi-shot HDR.
I have included 17 shots from my previous trip with Wayne Wendell and David Billingsley in order to give a more complete overview of these important historic. However, it might have diluted the highlight of the trip which was the companionship of my two grandsons.
