AubreyC  > Galveston_Bolivar > Sand Hill Cranes of Galveston on 122610
My oldest son, Aubrey, took me to Galveston to show the rope on Galveston's west end along Steward Road and in Galveston State Park. We saw quite a number of Sand Hill Cranes. Raptors were really abundant and were stalling into about a 12 mph wind searching for prey. Saw a hungry coyote stalking the Sand Hill Cranes, and he seemed as curious about me as I was of him. Many ducks were in the pools and ponds along the roadways and wading birds were also numerous.
