Anahuac NWR on 082009

Judy and I went to visit Anahauc National Wildlife Refuge yesterday afternoon. Decided to go and see after hearing a report from Jay Magnum. Barn Swallows of Anahuac NWR & Assc. 5/28/09

The Barn Swallows that were making their nests in the eaves of the kiosk for registration at Anahuac have all have been qualified for flight. Some though spend a lot of time on the tarmac. The really neat thing though, is that when a young one is down and disabled it isn't just it's parents that help in getting it airborne.
