On Saturday 101511, Jay Mangum and I went to photograph the planes flying in the 2011 Wings Over Houston air show. We found a good raised area that was in line with and just north of the main runway, the inventory area of Shades of Texas on Farley Street, off Genoa Genoa Red Bluff close to Beltway 8. Most of the planes in the show came right over the top of us and we were able to photograph them all except one, the B24. We left at 3 PM, so it could have come later. This was the first time I had photographed planes in flight with an unobstructed view. All the take-offs and landings were clearly visible.
Note: Web information sites are post below each aircraft, including some videos including wartime footage.

A B24 did not fly while I was at the show on 101511 this year, so I borrowed one of my then 9 year old grandson's photo of a B24 from last year's Wings Over Houston taken on 102310. He used my 15 mp Sony Alpha 350 with a Tamron 18-250mm/4.5-6.3 lens. The day was almost completely cloud and/or overcast. This was one of the few times there was a small break in the cloud cover around 1 PM.
